2026 MJSTASE Young Achiever Award
Now Accepting Applications
Established in 1994, the annual Monte Jade Young Achiever Award (YAA) has recognized more than 300 outstanding Chinese-American high school juniors and seniors for their exceptional accomplishments in the following categories:

The YAA application process closely resembles many college application requirements, providing students with an excellent opportunity to begin preparing their college application materials early.
The Young Achiever Award is made possible through the generous support of out sponsors, who share Monte Jade's commitment nurturing and developing the next generation of leaders.
Award recipients will be announced at the end of September 2026 and will be invited to attend the award presentation ceremony at the MJSTASE 2026 Annual Conference, location to be announced.
Awardees' photos and biographies will also be featured in the MJSTASE Annual Yearbook.
Submission Guidelines and Deadlines
The online application period for the 2026 Young Achiever Award is now open. Applicants must submit all required materials and the application fee by 11:59 PM on August 24, 2026.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants are required to complete the following steps:
1. Complete the Online Application Form:
Click "Apply Now" and complete the Google Form application.
2. Submit Supporting Materials
Once the application form has been received, a personalized Google Drive folder will be created and the access link will be emailed to the applicant. Applicants may upload all required materials to the assigned folder in Word, PDF, JPG or PNG format. The folder will remain accessible until August 24, 2026.
Please submit the following materials:

A resume

A brief biography (100 words or fewer) for the MJSTASE Annual Conference Yearbook

A recent digital photo (passport-style photo preferred: approximately 1.3" width)

An essay of 250-650 words based on one of the 2026-2027 Common App essay prompts

A personal three-minute video introducing yourself, your interests, hobbies and future goals (creativity encouraged)

A copy of your most recent official high school transcript

Two letters of recommendation from a high school teacher, counselor, extracurricular instructor, or coach
-
A copy of your SAT, ACT or PSAT scores
-
For Special Talent Award applicants only: video clips, recordings, photos, or other media related to your artistic discipline
3. Recommendation Letters
It is preferred that recommendation letters be submitted directly by the recommenders via email.

4. Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $40 is required. Payment may be made via Zelle (MJSTASEPAY@gmail.com) or check. Please include the applicant's name with the payment for identification purposes.

Selection Process
The judges serving on the MJSTASE Young Achiever Award Committee are distinguished scholars and professional in their respective fields. They are independent volunteers and are not affiliated with the Monte Jade Science and Technology Association.
MJSTASE sincerely appreciates their dedication and service in reviewing applications and recommending award recipients. All selection decisions made by the committee will be respected.
Final award recipients will be announced at the end of September 2026. All recipients are expected to attend the MJSTASE Annual Conference and participate in the award presentation program.
Important Notes

Applications from 2025 Young Achiever Award on Academic recipients will not be accepted.

All the award recipients are required to attend the award presentation rehearsal ceremony at the MJSTASE 2026 Annual Conference, which is planned for early November this year. The award will not be given to the absentees.

Talent performance at the award ceremony is highly encouraged for the award recipients.
