MJSTA hosted its first 2006 seminar on February 25 at the beautiful St. Ives Country Club. MJSTA invited four speakers to share their professional experiences with MJSTA’s members and friends. Dr. Sueling Wang, founder of Color Imaging, gave a wonderful speech on his experience as entrepreneur. Mr. Y. S. Huang, the owner of Di-Ho supermarket, told the audience about his experience from working at CDC to owning apartment buildings and a supermarket, and to owning a granite importing business. Dr. C. S. Shih, an expert in mineralogy, shared his experience of owning a video rental business while working full time in his technical field. Mr. L. K. Wang, a practicing attorney, told the audience his career switching experience, moving from being an engineer to being an attorney.

On the second part of the seminar, president of MJSTA, Steven Hao, gave a lecture on golf playing. Steven gave an overview on golf and benefits of playing golf with friends. He explained to the audience difference between golf clubs and when each golf club is used. A female golf expert, Romy Wang, gave a lecture about lady golf fashion and some tips on where to find best golf fashions.

玉山科技協會在2月25 日借美麗的St . Ives 鄉村俱樂部主持了第一次 2006 年研討會. 玉山科技協會邀請了四位講員來分享他們專業的經驗. Color Imaging的總裁, 王德博士, 很風趣的分享他作為一個企業家的經驗. 頂好超級市場的老板黃遠新先生和與會者分享了他的創業經驗, 從在CDC工作到投資不動產, 經營超級市場, 及進口花崗岩. 礦物學專家施純信博士分享了他利用業餘時間經營錄影帶出租事業, 到投資不動產的經驗. 王立綱律師和大家分享他轉業的經驗,從機械工程師, 變成為電子工程師, 最後變成為律師.

在研討會第二部份, 玉山科技協會理事長郝慰國為大家介紹高爾夫球運動及好處. 他也解釋各種高爾夫球桿的不同和如何運用不同的高爾夫球桿。高爾夫球友萬筱華也給與會的女士們介紹了女性高爾夫球友的時裝. 研討會在下午一點半結束, 大家盡興而歸, 並相約在近期內成立高爾夫球研習班.
