"Minority Owned Business and SBA Opportunities"

Monte Jade Science and Technology Association – Southeastern US (MJSTA-SE) and Culture Center of the TECO Atlanta will present a free seminar on “Minority Owned Business and SBA Opportunities”
MJSTA-SE and Culture Center of TECO Atlanta will host jointly a seminar on “Minority Owned Business and SBA Opportunities” on June 16 (Saturday), 2-4 PM, at Culture Center (5377 New Peachtree Road, Chamblee, GA 30341). The seminar is free and the invited speakers are Jack Kuo and Jeff Hwang.
Jack Kuo is the founder and President of BAT associates, Inc. (BAT). BAT was established in 1989 and has participated in the SBA program in its early stage. BAT provides the full range of consulting engineering services in environmental, health and safety, and other related areas. BAT is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with branch offices in Tennessee and Kentucky. In 2005, BAT was the recipient of 7th Outstanding Overseas Taiwanese Enterprise Award from the Taiwanese government in Taipei, Taiwan.
Jeff G. Hwang co-founded Pyramid Systems, Inc. (PSI), with his wife, Sherry Hwang, who is PSI’s CEO. Jeff is the Executive Vice President (EVP). PSI specializes in providing services in the areas of management and information technology consulting, infrastructure management, and program and administrative support. PSI is an 8(a), woman-owned corporation. In 2005 and 2006, PSI ranked on both Deloitte & Touche’s Technology Fast 500 in Northern America and Technology FAST 50 in Virginia. As of 2006, PSI boasts 55 full-time employees and grossed just over $8 million!

美東南區玉山科技協會與亞城僑教中心將於六月十六日星期六下午二點至四點合辦免費專題講座，主題是”少數民族中小企業創業與如何參與政府小型企業輔導“Start Up Minority Business and SBA Opportunities，地點是在亞城僑教中心。邀請講員有郭榮泰及黃國清先生。
郭榮太先生是BAT公司的創辦人及總裁。BAT公司創立於1989年，提供全套環保、健康、安全及有關範圍之工程顧問服務。BAT公司創立時曾參加SBA計畫多年˙該公司總部在喬州亞特蘭大，分公司設於田納西及肯塔基州，該公司在2005年獲得台灣政府頒發的海外台灣企業磐石獎殊榮。
在創立BAT以前，郭總裁曾在若干環保顧問公司擔任業務經理，俄亥俄州東北區水利工程主任工程師及克利夫蘭州立大學土木工程系兼任教授。
郭先生在國立台灣大學得到土木 / 公共衛生工程學士及碩士學位，並獲得辛辛那提大學碩士學位，並在16州註冊工程師資格，並曾任亞特蘭大商會會長。
黃國清先生及夫人許慧麗是Pyramid System Inc.(PSI)的合夥創辦人，黃國清先生任副執行總裁。PSI專門提供管理及資訊技術之顧問，基礎設備管理及程式設計管理之支援，該公司是一家擁有8(a)婦女企業家執照創業的公司，可享有各項政府的特別優惠及輔導。
PSI自1995年由一人創辦，一年業績不到十萬美金 ，至2006年有55位全職員工，年業績已達八百萬美金。該公司在2005及2006年被Deloitte & Touche’s選為北美發展最快的500家公司之一及維吉尼亞州發展最快的50家公司之一。
黃先生負責商業開發，操作及策劃，藉著他20年的豐富資訊及管理經驗，建立一套獨特管理軟體程式，成功的管理公司內部作業及供顧客使用，並與顧客政府部門建立長期穩定的關係。
黃先生擁有台灣國立成功大學企管學士及喬治亞州立大學商業資訊碩士學位，
他在創立PSI 前曾設計貸款系統軟體十年之久。
